Report of initiatives involving Justice and Peace Commission

We met Duncan MacLaren at the end of Jubilee of the Order in January, 2017: Congress on Missione. A report by Duncan MacLaren.

Now, Duncan has asked both ECLDF and us for help him to collect information about initiatives to encourage the laity to be involved in justice and peace matters after the Congresses in Salamanca and Rome.

Here is his message:

To all Dominican lay fraternities: Greetings in St Dominic and St Catherine on St Dominic’s Feast Day! I represent the male laity at the International Dominican Commission for Justice and Peace and our next meeting will be at the end of September 2017. I would appreciate having news from you about any initiatives to promote justice and peace from a Dominican perspective among the Dominican laity in all the regions, including any follow-up to the Salamanca meeting on human rights in 2016 and the Rome meeting on the mission of the Order in January this year. Please send me a brief report of the activities to: dmdonncha085@gmail.com. You can write in English, French, Italian, German or Portuguese. I would appreciate replies before the end of August as I have to compile the reports and then they are translated into other languages before the meeting. Many thanks.
In solidarity,
Duncan MacLaren OPL
